We hosted the Dennis Hernandez Charity Art Auction at our offices to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The event, which took place on March 29, 2014, was a success.
Tampa attorney Dennis Hernandez will be hosting a silent art auction on March 29, 2014 to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This foundation is focused on fighting blood cancers and has been funding research for more than 60 years. The Society has been supporting innovative leukemia and lymphoma research that has led to improved diagnostics and more effective therapies. Moreover, today the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the leading voluntary health agency contributor to blood cancer research in the U.S. and Canada. “Research is the best way to help many people with leukemia and lymphoma, because it is focused on finding safer and more effective treatments,” states Dennis Hernandez. “I would like to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s continuous effort and contribution to medical research focused on blood cancers because their cause has and should continue to positively change the lives of people living with this disease,” he continues. According to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, almost half of the new cancer drugs that were approved in the U.S. were approved to treat one or more blood cancers and the organization has helped the advancement of those drugs.
