The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is holding their annual Tuxes & Tails event on October 17th, 2015 at the Tampa Convention Center. This year’s theme is Moulin Rouge and will be a French Formal Inspired Black or Red Tie event, although the ties are optional. This fundraiser draws more than 700 animal lovers and community leaders each year.
Dennis Hernandez will be one of the sponsors and will also be attending the event,, along with many of his cherished animal-loving staff. Of course the event will include dozens upon dozens of ready to adopt animals that are ready for a forever home.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is dedicated to ending animal homelessness and providing care and comfort for companion animals in need by accepting animal surrenders. Each year, this signature Tuxes & Tails even raises much-needed funds for the many homeless animals in the Tampa Bay area.
The response to this year’s Tuxes & Tails has been amazing,” said Humane Society of Tampa Bay Chief Executive Officer Sherry Silk. “Every year since it’s inception the event has grown to the point that it is now a staple in Tampa Bay’s philanthropic community. People are excited about the life-saving work we do and are eager to help us celebrate and support that good work.”
The event will take place this Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Tampa Convention Center from 6:00pm – 11:00pm.
The revelry will begin with a cocktail party and silent auction featuring more than 50 adoptable pets, live music, appetizers and photo ops on the red carpet- all with a Moulin Rouge twist. Dinner, a live auction, a short program, and a high-energy Moulin Rouge-style show featuring adoptable pets will follow. A complimentary cigar bar, drinks and live music on the waterfront at the Sail Pavilion will round out the festivities.
FOX 13 News’ Cynthia Smoot and Russell Rhodes will serve as the evening’s Mistress and Master of Ceremonies.
