A tow truck driver was hit and killed while assisting Florida State Troopers in the repossession of three cars that were caught racing on I-75, south of Big Bend Rd. While the tow truck driver was operating the lift, a pickup truck failed to merge over for the service vehicle, and struck the worker before colliding into the tow truck.
The tow truck operator was pronounced dead on the scene, and all south bound lanes were closed to investigate the crash. For more information please visit your local media outlet.
